VIJESTI O ERASMUS+ PROJEKTU CiELO

ERASMUS+ PROJECT CiELO NEWS

In the Erasmus+ K2 project CiELO, Circular Economy Lab & Observatory (Laboratory and Observatory of Circular Economy), in which classes 2b and 2f from V. gimnazija in Zagreb are taking part, as well as Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale ‘Guido Donegani’ from Crotone, Italy, Domeikava Gymnasium from Kaunas, Lithuania and Liceul Teoretic ‘Sfantu Nicolae’ Gheorgeni from Romania, an activity called ‘flipped classroom’ is under way.

This school year, the students made short ‘Elevator Pitch’ videos in which they explained what sustainability and circular economy mean to them and what they and their families do to help contribute to reducing and recycling waste, saving energy and protecting the environment. Among the two classes of students, the jury of experts selected 8 best works. This was followed by a period of e-learning on the CiELO platform about pollution and remediation of soil and water. Video materials and texts for learning in the e-Library were prepared by FEEM partners from Milan and the RGN Faculty (Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering) in Zagreb.

Currently in the ‘flipped classroom’ methodology, students are sharing and deepening the information they gathered in previous phases of the project. They are participating in round table discussions and preparing TedTalks to present questions and solutions to problems addressed by the project. The first guests from the partner schools are coming to visit in May and will participate together in field workshops and debates that will be held at the V. gimnazija and partner institutions. The mentors on the project are professors Sanja Vrhovec Vučemilović, Svjetlana Vorel, Zrinka Pongrac Štimac and Marijana Žgela Putniković.
